Nshei Yeshurun: On Sunday evening, over 150 enthusiastic women from all over the Chicagoland area were entertained by Miriam Pascal, the Overtime Cook, cookbook author, and food photographer. Miriam presented an engaging food demo including the makings of a salad, a chicken dish and two desserts. Audience members tasted samples of Miriam's cooking and generous donations from Chalavi and B'Gan frozen foods. The evening would not have been a success without the professional video services of Larry Engelhart and Deja Views. Rebbetzin Cohen greeted everyone and shared a meaningful D’var Torah about the synthesis of kedusha and food preparation. The event committee spearheaded by Sarah Nechama Brody includes Chaya Friedman, Faye Meyers, Malka Miretzky, and Tema Taxer. Special thanks to the generous sponsors: Eric & Gale Rothner, Fred & Lynne Brody ,Zev & Sarah Nechama Brody, David & Staci Margulis and Gershon & Chaya Friedman.
