Chanukah at Yeshurun: - Thank you Rebbitzin Cohen for another successful “Baking with the Rebbitzin– Chanukah Edition.” Everyone had a wonderful time! Pictures are on the following page.
- Motzai Shabbos, Dec. 1, is the annual Father and Son Learning Chanukah Mesiba.
- Monday Dec. 3, will be the shul’s Chanukah party featuring “The last Chartum: Magic from Mitzrayim.” Last minute reservations can be made until Sunday 11/2 at 5:00pm at www.adasyeshurun.com/chanukahparty.
- Thursday Night, Dec 6. Rabbi Cohen’s Halacha shiur will be about a Current Chanukah Question. Rabbi Cohen will not be giving his regularly scheduled Shiurim Monday and Tuesday (Dec 3 & Dec 4).

- This Sunday, Dec. 2 is the first yahrtzeit of Rav Aaron Leib Shteinman. Over the past year, the shul, per the tzaavaa of Rabbi Shteinman has finished a number of massechtos of Mishnayos learning one Mishna after each Shacharis Minyan. including: Brachas, Peah, Orlah, Rosh Hashana, Bava Kama, Bava Metzia, Bava Basra, Avos and Middos. Rabbi Cohen will be speaking following the 8:00am Shacharis with short Divrei Hesped.
- The JUF is offering a matching grant that will help with attaining needed funds for shul security. The grant matches security related pledges, dollar for dollar. Thank you to everyone who has already pledged, we are now close to our goal. Please pledge by Monday December 10 so we can apply for full funding. - Sunday, December 9 at 8:00pm, Rebbetzin Heller will be speaking in conjunction with the Chicago Community Kollel, on the topic of, “Kodesh & Chol—Where Do They Belong In Your Life?”
- Stewart Sheinfeld a”h Father and Son Learning Program continues this week at 6:15pm (note new earlier time) with learning, prizes, pizza, and a super story. This week has not yet been sponsored. Next week, December 8 there will be a Chanukah Mesibah at 6:45pm.
- Pirchei will now be on Friday nights from 7:45-8:45pm. Delicious cholent made by Joey Zimmerman will be served.
