Yeshurun was saddened to hear of the petira of Dr. Arnold Steinberg, a"h, father of Steve Steinberg, Barbara Robinson, Ruth Gleicher, and Mark Steinberg. Shiva will be at the Steinberg residence, 3724 Arcadia. Minyanim: Shacharis T-F 7 am, Sunday 8 am Mincha/Maariv M-Th 7:10 pm. The family requests no visitors from 12:00 pm - 1:00pm, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm and after 9:30 pm. Mark Steinberg will be sitting shiva at his home 6745 Mozart on Saturday night till 10:30 PM Maariv minyan after Shabbos (he will be in Skokie the rest of the time).
Reminder: THIS Shabbos will be our second Shabbos of the 7 weeks combining the 8:20am and the 8:45am minyanim at 8:30am. Youth groups start at 8:30am for the younger children and at 9:15am for the older children.

You should have received a paper mailing as well. Membership is the largest source of funds for the shul and it allows us to continue to be a first class center of Torah, Tefilah and Community. Please join us as we celebrate Yeshurun’s Grand Opening of the playground THIS Sunday, September 8, from 4-6pm. There will be a ribbon cutting, Kevias Mezuzah, games, inflatables, food and more.
The playground will be open this Shabbos morning and will be supervised by the youth department. Children must be dropped off by a parent or attend youth groups in order to be able to play in the park. The park will not be open this Shabbos afternoon.

This Motzei Shabbos, Sept. 7 please join us as we wish Rabbi & Mrs. Ephraim & Yitty Friedman hatzlacha as they depart to their new position in Miami. It will take place at Beis Medresh Mikor Hachaim at 9:15pm and short program at 9:45pm.
Rabbi Cohen’s Tuesday night Tefillah Shiurim are now learning about the davening of Yomim Noraim. Women’s Shiur at 7:40pm and Men’s Shiur at 9:30pm.
Walder Science Center invites kids in grades 4-8 to join the best After School Program in town: Students in the Science program(Mon/Wed) will have a blast studying chemical reactions and making their own glow sticks, plastic, spy ink, and more! Our Robotics & Coding group (Tue/Thu) will experiment with the cutting-edge skills of Robotics and Coding. Separate classes for boys and girls. Stop in one, two, three or four days per week between 4:30pm and 6:30pm, depending on your preference! Homework time and homework assistance is included (4:30pm-5:15pm)!
