Walder Science invites families for the final day of the Children's Science Museum on Sunday, April 7. The exciting permanent exhibits for this year feature pulleys, optical illusions, sounds & acoustics, and animal lifecycles. Join Walder Science Monday April 8 between 1:30 and 3pm to learn about the eclipse, to view it safely, and explore numerous activities for children and adults. The event will take place outside Walder Science and Adas Yeshurun at 3050 W. Touhy Ave, and indoors (in case of rain) there will be a live feed and viewing from NASA with additional learning opportunities in the Yeshurun social hall. Beginning of Summer Girls STEM Camp: Girls in going into grades 7-9 are invited for a 3-week program of amazing skills, opportunities, and field trips. Design beautiful projects with laser cutting, study woodshop basics, explore engineering challenges, learn to analyse our river quality and prairie species, practice photography, use advanced telescopes for an intro to astronomy, and more!
