Skip - Send a Kid to Israel Program

SKIP -- the Jewish Federation of Chicago's Send-a-Kid-to-Israel Partnership - Parents, Shul, Federation Partnership.
SKIP helps families meet the ever-rising cost of an Israel educational program.

Basic Program Outline:
Parents and shul combined are responsible for a $170 investment each year, from the time the child begins the program - as early as third grade, through ninth grade. The "Parents & Shul" monies sit in an interest bearing account managed by the Federation until the child is ready to attend a program in Israel. The Federation contributes $85 for every year the parents contribute. By the time the participating child is ready to go to Israel, there will be upwards of $1,800 waiting in his/her account.
For those that have a 3rd through 6th grade child that is currently not enrolled in the program, please consider joining this year.  After 6th grade a child cannot start the program.
The minimum parent contribution per child is $125 and the shul's portion is $45. As in the past we are encouraging contributions to help defray the shul portion. Any contribution over the $125 is a charitable contribution to the shul.
Deadline for 2021-2022 is December 24, 2021
